Can anyone give me ideas on how to bring in the fall this year??? I brought out all the decorations I had fun making last year and put them up. I need some new ideas on how i can make it a little more festive. I'll take picture later, John took the better camera to work today. I love this time of year, before you know it I'll be putting up a Christmas Tree and getting that decorated too. Yea for fall!!! P.S. my birthday is in 3 months and 3 days.....

Let’s finish summer first! Fall does not get here until October. Once Fall gets here that means that the rainy season is here as well, and while we could use some more rain right now I am not ready for not seeing the sun for nine months.

Ha, my birthday is three months and zero days!

Love ya,

Dad

You guys and your birthdays! You are reminding me that I still have to get ready for my two kids December birthday parties.

As far as fall decor is concerned...I'm not sure what you have, but I find that just using natural things is fun...and won't break the bank (especially when saving for a house). In a few weeks you will start seeing pumpkins for sale, I like to decorate with the jack-be-littles on the table and then the bigger ones by the door. If you go to a pumpkin patch or similar farm, you can often find cornstalks to put near your door (maybe tie with a bow or something). Then grocery stores usually have Indian Corn (or should I say Native American Corn) and decorative gourds. Of course there are fall leaves, but those tend to get crunchy and messy...I usually buy fake leaves. If you have a big glass salad bowl, fill it with apples for a centerpiece...then you will always have a good snack (healthy for baby too!) These are just the quick free things you can do. JoAnnes usually has some cute door signs. I have also gotten some cool acorn decorations there before. Good luck!
